Jumbo Bakery & Eatery

Jumbo is a bakery in the morning and an eating place for the rest of the day, in a back street in Frederiksbjerg. The baking comes first, and the kitchen builds the day's dishes on top of it.

It is the combination that makes the place: the bread is their own, and lunch is built around it rather than beside it. They also run courses and cater company events, but it is the counter and the tables you come for.

The door opens at 7.30am on weekdays and at eight at weekends and on public holidays. Closing is four o'clock all seven days, so this is a morning and lunch place, not an evening one.

It suits an early breakfast on the way to work and a lunch where you want to sit down. Ankersgade is a few minutes' walk from Jægergårdsgade, and there are seats outside when the weather allows.
