Hærværk

Raw cooking with no menu — you eat what came in.

Hærværk has no menu in the traditional sense: you get what the kitchen has worked on that day, often fermented, cured or grilled over embers. The room is raw concrete with an open kitchen and loud music.
It is the most uncompromising place to eat in Aarhus, and the best if you can let go of control. The chefs serve the food themselves and explain what they have made. The wine is natural and follows the food.
Open Tuesday to Saturday 17.00-24.00. Closed Sunday and Monday. Closed the rest of the week, and there are not many tables — book well ahead.
It suits anyone who wants to eat something they would not have ordered themselves, and two or four people who like being surprised. Frederiks Allé is in Frederiksbjerg, a few minutes' walk from the station.
