Spangsberg's factory outlet for flødeboller — misshapen boxes, open Wednesday to Saturday.

Spangsberg on Klokkestøbervej is not a chocolate house with its own kitchen. It is the factory outlet of the flødebolle factory in Taastrup, one of twenty in the country, and that is exactly the point: this is where what did not make it into the purple box gets sold.
The company says itself what ends up in the boxes. Flødeboller that came out a little too big or too small, have a small hole in the coating, or were made while production switched from one flavour to the next — so you can get strawberry and liquorice in the same one. They are sold as factory boxes and seconds at a good price, alongside chocolate with cosmetic flaws.
Open Wednesday to Saturday from ten to five. Closed Sunday to Tuesday and on all public holidays.
Drive out here if you need a lot of flødeboller for a party or an office and do not mind them being lopsided. Klokkestøbervej is in Odense M, so you need a car or a bus.
