About street food spots in Odense
Street food in Odense is one address. Storms Pakhus is the only entry on this list, and that is not an editorial omission — the city has no other market of the kind. The one it has, though, is big enough that it does not feel like a gap.
Storms Pakhus occupies an old warehouse on Lerchesgade behind the railway station, ten minutes' walk from the platform. A couple of dozen stalls share the roof: Thai, the Danish roast pork sandwich, pancakes, ramen and a bar in the middle. Prices sit at the low end, several stalls cook vegetarian, and there is takeaway if you are carrying on by train.
It works best with a group that cannot agree. There are seats inside and out, room for children to move, and nobody waits for the whole table to order. Open every day from half past eleven — until nine early in the week, until eleven on Friday and Saturday and until eight on Sunday. It is also the easiest place in the city to reach without a car.
