Alice
Bakery & coffeeAmager, Copenhagen
Ice cream, coffee and pastry — all three made with the same seriousness.

Illustration made with AI
Alice set out to make the best ice cream imaginable, and that is still the main errand. But the coffee and the baking have become just as good, which makes it one of the few addresses where you can both start and end the day.
The flavours change with the season, and the summer queue is a good sign. In winter the coffee and the counter carry the place — and there is room to sit down, which ice cream shops rarely have.
Open from eight on weekdays and nine at weekends, until five every day. Markmandsgade is on Amager close to Islands Brygge.
It suits families — there is space, and something for both children and adults — and anyone who wants a scoop after a walk along the harbour. There are seats outside in summer.
Why it's worth a visit
- Ice cream made from scratch with seasonal flavours
- Coffee and pastry on a par with the ice cream
- A short walk from Amager Beach Park
