Prolog is wedged between the white buildings of the Meatpacking District and has become the gathering point for people who take coffee seriously without solemnity. The bar is open and informal, and in summer guests spill out onto the steps with cold brew.
They roast their own, and the menu changes with the season. Ask for the filter of the day if you want to taste what they are working with right now — and buy beans if it lands.
Open from seven on weekdays and eight at weekends, until six every day. It is the coffee bar in the Meatpacking District that opens first, and the only one going before eight.
It suits a cup before work, a break in the middle of the district, and anyone who wants coffee somewhere with other people around. There are few seats inside, but the steps serve as a terrace all summer.
Why it's worth a visit
- Own roast with a seasonal, changing menu
- A short walk from the Meatpacking District and Istedgade
- Good outdoor seating in summer
