La Cabra started in Aarhus and has brought its light, acidic roasting style to Nordhavn. The room is pared-back Scandinavian in concrete, pale wood and large windows, and there are always a couple of single origins on filter.

They bake their own, and the laminated pastries disappear before midday. The roast is lighter than most, so the coffee tastes more of fruit than of burnt — if in doubt, ask for the filter and let them pick the bean.

Open from half past seven on weekdays and eight at weekends, until six every day. Århusgade is in the new part of Nordhavn, a few minutes' walk from the station.

It suits a morning by the window with a book, and anyone who wants to take beans home. There are seats outside when the weather allows.
