Nordatlanten sits on Odense harbour in the North Atlantic House and draws its kitchen from the Faroes, Iceland and Greenland as much as from Funen. Fish and shellfish are the main business.
The building is both cultural centre and restaurant, and you notice: there are exhibitions and events alongside the food. The card changes with what has been landed, and there is both lunch and dinner.
Open Monday to Friday from half past eleven to eleven, Saturday from ten to half past eleven and Sunday from ten to four.
It is one of the few places in the city where you can sit with the water right outside. Come for weekend lunch for the best of the view. The harbour is a fifteen-minute walk from the centre.
Why it's worth a visit
