Breakfast and lunch on Skyttegade — closes at four and does nothing else.

Sidecar sits on Skyttegade, a side street away from the traffic of Nørrebro, and keeps to what it does: breakfast, lunch and coffee until four. Then it closes.

It is one of those cafés where the menu is short because the kitchen has made up its mind. You do not get fifteen options, but what is there is considered, and it comes out quickly. The coffee matches the neighbourhood's coffee bars.

Open from eight on weekdays and nine at weekends, until four every day and half past three on Sunday. There is no evening service — the house uses the evenings for events.

It suits a morning when you want to eat properly without queueing, and anyone who lives nearby and wants to sit down for an hour. Tables outside in the street when the weather allows.
