Tartare, escargots and flambé at the table — Klassisk Bistro 65

Klassisk Bistro 65 was opened because Aarhus needed a proper French bistro, and that is exactly what it is: rustic dishes from the French country kitchen, tartare cut by hand, and steak flambéed at the table.

The wine bar is part of the place rather than an afterthought — you can sit with a glass without eating. The kitchen sticks to the classics and cooks them every evening, which is why they are so well drilled.

Open every day from five until midnight. It is one of the few in the city that also opens on Sunday and Monday evenings. On Friday and Saturday there are two seatings — the first from five until eight, the second from quarter past eight until closing — so a table is booked for a slot rather than for the whole evening. The house states this itself.

It suits a dinner where you want something classic and solid, and the late evening when other kitchens have closed. Jægergårdsgade is in Frederiksbjerg.
