Mad & Kaffe
BrunchVesterbro, Copenhagen
Brunch as a plate you assemble yourself — three, five or seven things.

Illustration made with AI
Mad & Kaffe turned brunch into a kit: you tick a form and get three, five or seven small things on one plate. It sounds like a gimmick and is not — it solves the problem that nobody can agree on what brunch should contain.
The Sønder Boulevard branch is the original, and the formula has since been copied across the country. You choose the combination yourself, so vegetarians, meat eaters and the fussy can sit at the same table without negotiating.
Open every day from half past eight until eight in the evening. It is one of the longest opening times among the city's brunch places, which makes it useful late in the day too.
There is a queue at weekends from about ten, and small groups cannot book. Come before nine, or treat it as a late lunch instead. There are tables on the boulevard when the sun is out.
