Les Trois Cochons is one of Cofoco's first restaurants and sits on Værnedamsvej, the most French street in the city. The kitchen is bistro: terrine, confit, sauce and a cheese at the end, served as a set menu at a price you can come back to.

You choose a number of dishes rather than reading a long card, and that is part of why the price stays down. The wine list is French and easy to navigate.

Lunch all seven days from half past eleven to three, and dinner from half past five until midnight. Last arrival is nine Sunday to Thursday and half past nine Friday and Saturday. The street has tables outside, and they are the first to go when the sun is out.

It suits a dinner where you want French food without white linen — and a lunch if you are on Værnedamsvej to shop anyway. Book at weekends.
