Roman pizza with buffalo mozzarella on a table in an old building — Magstræde 16

Magstræde has been reborn as an Italian restaurant in Roman trattoria style under the GORM's group. The point is that pizza is not the main course: it is meant as a sharing dish you order into a menu alongside antipasti.

The selection is therefore narrow — three pizzas. The margherita with double mozzarella, Øllingegaard as the base and fresh buffalo mozzarella added after the oven, costs 160 kroner. Veggie & Creamy with roasted courgette, peppers and stracciatella is 160, and Salsiccia & Cime di Rapa with chilli oil and hazelnuts 165. The base is thin, crisp and organic with a 72-hour prove, and a gluten-free base costs 25 kroner extra — it is baked in a gluten environment.

Three courses cost 350 kroner per person, five courses 495. The kitchen closes an hour before the door Monday to Thursday and an hour and a half before on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is closed.
