Italian on Store Kongensgade — pasta, wine and a bar that keeps going.

Spaghetti with caviar and pasta al pomodoro — Barabba

Illustration made with AI

Barabba cooks Italian without ceremony: pasta, antipasti and wine, in a room where the bar matters as much as the tables. The card changes daily, and pasta is what the house is built on.

This is a restaurant for an evening that is allowed to run — the kitchen closes at ten, but the rest continues. The wine list is Italian and manageable, and the staff will happily choose for you.

Wednesday and Thursday are dinner only from half past five. Friday, Saturday and Sunday they also serve lunch from twelve to half past two. Monday and Tuesday are closed, which is where plans go wrong.

It suits two or four people who want proper pasta without white tablecloths. Store Kongensgade is a few minutes from Kongens Nytorv, and there is rarely a free table on a Friday without a booking.
