Shared plates and wine on Borgergade — one of the city's most used tables for an evening with friends.

Tartare, scallops in bisque and cocktails on a black table — Pluto

Pluto opened on Borgergade in 2012 and has been the place you suggest when there are four of you who want to eat well without making an event of it. The card is many smaller dishes, and the kitchen changes it often.

You order for the table and share. The wine list is long enough that you can stay after the food, and the bar makes cocktails, so the evening does not have to move on. It is the same house as Gorilla, in a quieter version.

Open from half past five every day. Sunday they close at eleven, Monday to Thursday at midnight, and Friday and Saturday at two in the morning.

It suits an evening whose length you have not decided — and two people who would rather sit at the bar than book a table. Borgergade is a few minutes from the King's Garden and Nørreport.

Why it's worth a visit

  • Many smaller dishes to share
  • A long wine list
